Phillips Building Supply was established in 1954 in Laurel MS and then opened the Gulfport location  in 1962. Since that time, we have added two lumber yards and a metal plant in south Mississippi, as well as a lumber yard in southeast Louisiana. Whether you are a do it yourselfer, contractor/builder or commercial builder, we are your one-stop professional lumber yard.

While we specialize in lumber and almost all building materials, that isn’t all we do! In 1975 we added onsite treatment facility that has the capability to treat anything from 1×2 to a 12×12 , 48 long. In 1970 we added a manufacturing facility for roof trusses and floor truss systems. We can design your requirements for commercial or residential applications. In 1975 we added a prefab metal shop. This is where we fabricate hollow metal doors and frames to meet all types of commercial applications, including fire rated designs. We also pre-hang wood doors for residential and commercial construction, wood or metal frames. We offer a complete selection of any type of wood, metal or fiberglass door, any size, with any type of glass you desire.

In 2008 we established our new metal roofing and siding subsidiary which can accommodate any application of metal roofing, siding, or trim.

Over the years, Phillips Building Supply has grown with the Mississippi Gulf Coast and is here to meet the all the requirements of builders or contractors, as well as the DIYers.
